Espen Høiby met union leader Gerd Kristiansen during the Arendal Week 2016

CEO Espen Høiby presented OSM Aviation at a seminar during the Arendal Week 2016 on labour market trends. Organised by contractor Veidekke, this event took place on 18 August with Gerd Kristiansen, president of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO), among the participants.

In his presentation, Høiby emphasised that OSM Aviation recognised the right of employees to organise and that the company wanted a good collaboration with the unions. He also provided more details on the OSM Aviation business model, which includes permanent jobs for pilots and cabin crew.

“We want to offer our employees long-term and secure employment,” said Høiby.

He noted that the company had taken on 2 500 employees in 12 countries since its foundation two and a half years ago.
Their contracts of employment comply with the legislation and regulations which apply in the respective countries, and thereby ensure competitive pay and working conditions for the employees.
Held in southern Norway, the Arendal Week is an annual forum where national delegates from the worlds of politics, society and industry meet each other and the general public to debate and develop policies for today and tomorrow.
