OSM Aviation aquires Proffice Aviation
OSM Aviation AS has today taken over Proffice Group’s aviation business area, with 500 employees in the Nordic region. This will further strengthen OSM Aviation’s position as a leading international player in airline crew management.
Proffice Aviation has the bulk of its business in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, but is also represented in Norway. Over the past four years, it has been responsible for providing cabin crew to airline Norwegian. The company also has some assignments related to land-based transport services. Norwegian and OSM already have a collaboration in the UK, Spain and the USA, which will now be extended to include Sweden, Denmark and Finland. To ensure the greatest possible continuity for Norwegian and the workforce, Proffice Group has opted to sell all the shares in the various Proffice Aviation companies to OSM Aviation AS.
“This acquisition represents an important step for us in a long-term strategy of becoming a leading international player in airline crew management,” says Espen Høiby, CEO of OSM Aviation Group. “Proffice Aviation is a very well-run organisation with able employees who will now become part of our company.”
“We have a good relationship with Norwegian after cooperating with it for more than a decade, and we’re looking forward to continuing to develop this collaboration as part of OSM Aviation,” says Katarina Wallin Dackander, CEO of Proffice Aviation. She will retain this role after the acquisition.
The change of ownership will have no consequences for Proffice Aviation employees, and their employment continues on the same terms as before.
Following the acquisition, OSM Aviation – which has specialised in the employment and development of air crew – will have about 1 600 employees in 12 countries. Qualified cabin crew and pilots are permanently employed in the various countries where the company has bases. Working conditions and other terms for employees accord with the rules and agreements which apply for air crew in the respective countries. In addition to Norwegian, Finnair is also an OSM Aviation customer.
