Press release: OSM Aviation Academy & EPST launch new mentored airline pilot training partnership
Two of Europe’s leading providers of airline pilot training, OSM Aviation Academy and EPST have formed a new mentored airline pilot training partnership – bringing together the significant capabilities of both organizations to deliver innovative airline pilot training and resourcing solutions to the market.
Sweden-based airline pilot training and resourcing company, OSM Aviation Academy (former Scandinavian Aviation Academy), was selected as ‘partner of choice’ by European Pilot Selection and Training (EPST) of the Netherlands to deliver training and placement services, initially for its popular Europilot programme. This new and exciting partnership will see OSM Aviation Academy providing professional airline pilot training to ‘frozen’ ATPL standards at Crew Training Centres in both Sweden and Norway for up to 50 EPST trainee pilots annually.
EPST Europilot applicants will be required to demonstrate, with EPST in Utrecht, their suitability for airline pilot training and subsequent employment before commencing an 18-months integrated pilot education with OSM Aviation Academy. The integrated program combines theoretical and practical flight training, leadership development and other core competencies essential to a successful pilot career.
The EPST Multi-pilot Airline Jet Foundation Training Course (AJFC), which includes the EASA Advanced Multi-Crew Cooperation training (APC) and Type rating will be completed at EPST’s training centre in Utrecht in the Netherlands.
As part of this new agreement, EPST will work in partnership with OSM Aviation Academy to facilitate airline placement opportunities for the EPST Europilot graduates. EPST in the Netherlands will carry out the Aircraft type rating training.
“We are delighted to once again be working in partnership with OSM Aviation Academy. Their team has an innovative and customer-focussed approach to airline pilot training; setting excellent standards at latest generation Crew Training Centres. We commit to provide our Europilot applicants with the highest standards of training possible; ensuring that they have the very best opportunities to secure employment with an airline partnering with OSM Aviation. We are confident that our partnership with OSM Aviation Academy will facilitate that and we look forward to further developing our relationship over the coming years. Eric Duijkers, Managing Director for EPST at WATS 2018 conference in Orlando.
“Having worked with EPST in the past with providing pilots for the Europilot programme we are delighted to once again be working with a partner organisation that shares our core values of quality and innovation in airline pilot training, coupled with a genuine commitment to quality. OSM Aviation Academy works closely with many Partner airlines such as Norwegian globally, assuring conditional job offers for their graduates.” Olof Barve, Chief Executive Officer for OSM Aviation Academy at WATS 2018 conference in Orlando.
